Audemars Piguet is making sure its 5134 caliber gets a proper goodbye. The successor of the legendary 2120 movement is being discontinued…but not just in any perfect replica watches. None other than John Mayer had the honor of coming up with one last dial and case design for a limited-edition Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. In addition to that, the brand showed us many other new references during its 2024 Social Club event in Milan.

They included a new Royal Oak Offshore with a white camouflage case. There’s also a new Royal Oak automatic chronograph in yellow gold and three new Royal Oaks with flying tourbillons. But that’s not all. We saw additional references and new technologies, and the brand also opened the doors to its new AP House Milan while we were there.

On my way to the reception at the hotel last Sunday, I almost bumped into John Mayer. He was casually chatting with some Audemars Piguet representatives while I was checking in. By the time I finished, he had already left, and I wondered if or when I would see him again in the days to come. Well, that happened the next morning when he introduced his limited-edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar fake watches for sale to us, the press.

Of course, Audemars Piguet’s new CEO Ilaria Resta was also there. She admitted that she’s still learning a lot from the great team around her. But she also assured us that she was very confident about the future and all the new releases that we were about to see. For many, the perpetual calendar is the ultimate complication. It also happens to be so for John Mayer. It’s a complication that shows so much information that it can be challenging to design an easily readable and attractive high quality fake watches. However, in this case, it looks like putting John Mayer in charge of designing the last Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar with a 5134 movement was a very good move.

The 18K white gold classic Royal Oak case is 41mm in diameter and only 9.5mm thick. This is because the 5134, an automatic perpetual-calendar caliber, is only 4.3mm thick. It came out back in 2015, and this year, AP will retire it. This caliber succeeded the 2120/2800 movement, which was based on the legendary caliber 2120. The 2120 debuted in 1967 and powered many different AAA copy watches in its very long lifespan. By the way, AP has not yet informed us of what will replace the 5134 movement.

The real star of the show here, though, is the Crystal Sky blue dial. The texture is achieved by applying a PVD coating to glass, which is then stamped. John Mayer made a few suggestions to enhance the uniformity of the dial. The number 31 on the date sub-dial has a smaller font instead of another color, like on many other modern references. Also, the hand that indicates the weeks is blue instead of white gold so that it doesn’t interrupt the view of the dial too much. The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar “John Mayer” is a limited edition of 200 pieces and costs CHF 240,000 ex. VAT.

Fake Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph & Frosted Gold Watches

The next release on the list is another 41mm Royal Oak. This time, it’s a chronograph in 18K yellow gold except for the white gold hexagonal screws in the satin-brushed and polished bezel. The case and bracelet received the same finish as on the bezel, just like the crown and the pushers for the chronograph.

Powering this Swiss made replica watches is the integrated chronograph caliber 4401. This automatic movement features a column wheel, a vertical clutch, and a flyback mechanism. This last feature allows you to quickly restart the chronograph from zero without stopping and resetting it first. Through the sapphire crystal on the back, you can take a look at the 22K rose gold rotor.

But again, the real highlight here is the gold-plated brass dial with the signature Grande Tapisserie pattern. As a final step, the dial gets a hand-sprayed application of black varnish, which creates a mysterious fumé effect. And we’re not done with the Royal Oak releases just yet. Stainless steel, rose gold, and sand gold versions have also been added to the Flying Tourbillon series. The stainless steel model has a dark burgundy dial with both a sunburst and fumé effect. Its dark tones stand in great contrast with the bright 18K white gold markers and hands.

The new rose gold version has a gray sandblasted dial combined with an ivory minute track. This dial definitely makes it my favorite of the two. And then there’s another version in a completely new precious metal called sand gold. It’s an 18K gold alloy achieved by replacing the silver part of gold with copper and palladium. It’s probably a lot more complicated than that sounds. Anyway, the result is a very soft-looking tone that’s somewhere in between white and rose gold. The new 41mm sand gold Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked is powered by caliber 2972, which is visible both through the front and back side of the best quality super clone watches. The price of this new addition is CHF 250,000 ex. VAT.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin Openworked Fake Watches

AP is also launching a new Swiss movements replica Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin watches in 18K white gold with an open-worked dial. This watch houses the automatic caliber 7124, which is only 2.7mm thick. Therefore, the 39mm case is also just 8.1mm thick. Even though it’s that thin, the fake watches for men is still water resistant to 50 meters. It offers a view of the movement’s beautiful finishing through the sapphire crystals on both the front and the back. Now, for something a little more rugged, here’s the new Royal Oak Offshore 43mm in stainless steel with a rubber-coated bezel. The bezel, dial, and rubber strap come in a matching blueish-gray color. This new Royal Oak Offshore, which is one of the few time-only Offshores out there, is powered by the automatic caliber 4302. Its price is set to CHF 23,000 ex. VAT.

A preview of a new technology

During the product presentations, Audemars Piguet also had some workshops prepared for us. One of them was about a new technology called Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS). Without going into too much detail, this allows the designers to combine different tones of the same material. The fact that this sintering happens in a few minutes instead of several hours means there’s a clear transition between the different tones.

During the workshop, we saw a preview of what this new technology can achieve with, for example, ceramic. It’s a pity the camouflaged Offshore was only a prototype because many of us thought that the best fake watches looked absolutely badass. We also learned that this technology isn’t just for mixing different tones of ceramic. AP can also use this process to sinter different types of gold with each other. The example we saw looked quite promising. “Coming to an AP House near you soon,” let’s say.

The new AP House (or garage) in Milan opens its doors

One of the main reasons for organizing this AP Social Club in Milan was the new AP House there. After the product presentations in the morning, the brand invited us all to take a look inside the new facility right in the city center of Milan. There, Garage Traversi (a famous parking garage from the ’70s) was transformed into Audemars Piguet’s home away from home by architect Piero Lissoni. There are no fewer than five floors with enough room for the brand’s heritage, technology, art, music, and, of course, food and drinks.

Milan is also where the first AP House opened in 2017. In the meantime, many famous cities in the world have joined the list, including Bangkok, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Tokyo. There are now 20 AP Houses in total, and more are in the pipeline already.
